Location Accuracy

The telematics hardware utilises GPS (Global Positioning System) to provide a

positional fix.

Most Telematics hardware products provide positional accuracy better

than 2.8 metres for 95% of the time*.

System Overview & Architecture

The vehicle position is provided by the GPS Satellite system to the Tracking unit

fitted in the vehicle, or connected to a mobile asset.

The unit communicates this information to the OnLineAVL Server.

The GPRS Network manages the communication between

the vehicle and the OnLineAVL Server via the

Internet.

Two-Way text messaging is also sent the same way.

The Internet provides the means of transferring the vehicle information to and from the customers office

computer.

Office computers display the vehicle information in

real time.
