How to install BMW puddle lights?

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post, so take it easy on me...

I was wondering how to install the BMW puddle lights on my 05

Z4. My bro got me a pair of I saw a 07 plate 118d has them fitted

and they look pretty smart, so was wondering can puddle lights be

fitted when there are not any as standard, also if there was a kit or

an instruction to install them?

Installing a puddle light is less than 10 minute work. Check this out:

1. Connect one of the wires to the door side light or top light of

vehicle, keep another wire on ground;

2. Dismantle the cover of the car door with a screw;

3. Drill a hole at the bottom of the cover of the car door (The

location is in middle of the panel at the bottom. Make sure the is big

enough for the puddle light);

4. Put the BMW puddle light in the hole of the cover of the car

door;

5. Connect the light wires to the puddle light and verify if the

polarity is right;

6. Close the car door and the installation is complete.

When I got my first two puddle lights, I did not know how to go

about them, too. Then I found a post on m5board and successfully
