Globally, road safety is Honda’s top priorities since 1970. After its inception in India in 2001, Honda initially promoted its safe riding concepts through its dealership networks.

Aimed at the women riders, Honda had also launched the ‘Dream riding’ initiative to initiate them into two-wheeler riding. Aspiring women riders above 18 years of age just need to drop a mail with their details on the e-mail id: [email protected], and can learn how to ride a two-wheeler in a single day from trained Honda female instructors in a specially designed 4 hour module. At the National Road Safety week 2015, also in association with Delhi Traffic police, Honda had empowered more than 2000 women on 2 wheeler riding at its traffic parks in Roshanara Bagh and Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi.

Today, Honda has a dedicated corporate team that steers the Road-Safety promotion activities for the company at all dealerships. This team imparts training to develop Safety Riding Advisors who in turn provide Pre-delivery Safety Advice (PDSA) to customers and imbibe safe-riding habits amongst two-wheeler riders. Additionally, Honda has also adopted seven Traffic Training Parks – 2 in Delhi; one each in Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Yeola, and the latest one in Chandigarh.
