Touch Screen displayFull screenTouching an app icon (along top row) for an app thats already displayed causes that app go full screen. Also accomplished using the smallexpand the window button in the lower corner of the display

As I mentioned earlier in this sequence of courses, the Model S has been jokingly called a computer on 4 wheels. Thats especially true when tips and tricks for the touch screen and telematics are considered. Lets begin with the 17 display, by far, the largest of any car in the world.

>> There are times when its convenient to have a single app display full screen on your 17 touch screen. This is particularly useful when youd like to see a larger portion of a map while in nav.A quick way to get a full screen image is to:>> Touch an app icon along top row for an app thats already displayed in the top window. This causes that app go full screen. >> This can also accomplished using the small expand the window button in the lower left corner of the display.

Organizing appsYou can drag an app icon to either the upper or lower display to place it appropriatelyYou can also drag it to the miniature top-half and bottom-half icons that appear at the top of the screen when you begin dragging an app icon. [@JoshG via Teslarati]

There are times when you want to place an app window in upper area of the 17 display. To do this quickly,>> You can drag an app icon from the top row to either the upper or lower display window to place it appropriately.>> Alternatively, you can also drag it to the miniature top-half and bottom-half icons that appear at the top of the screen when you begin dragging an app icon. These are shown in the photo on your screen.

Connecting your smartphone (or other comparable bluetooth device) to the Model S is relatively easy.>> Use the control screen to access bluetooth or>> tap the bluetooth icon at the top of the display to access that functionality,>> then follow these steps:>> on your device, enable bluetooth and make it discoverable>> in the 17 display window touch add a new device>> all Bluetooth devices in range are displayed>> select the device you want to pair and then follow these steps:

Connecting bluetooth devices - IIthe touch screen displays a random numberyour device should display the same numberbe sure the numbers are the same, then confirm you want to pair the device with your Model S

>> Within a few seconds, the touchscreen displays a randomly generated number, >> and your device should display the same number. >> double check to be sure the numbers are the sameand then confirm you want to pair the device with the Model S.Youre now connected via bluetooth.

Your carPress the Tesla logo at the top of the touch screenbrings up an image of your car, showing your VIN#, firmware version, and most recent firmware release notes. The image of the car on screen should match your actual cars color, roof type, and display the status of headlights/fog lights, along with left turn signal or flashers, and brake lights. [Teslarati]

Model S software maintains an image of your car, along with all pertinent identification and status information. This is particularly useful when you need to know the software version for your car or your vehicle identification number. To access this information:>> Press the Tesla logo at the top of the touch screen>> this brings up an image of your car, showing your VIN#, software version, and most recent release notes. >> The image of the car on screen should match your cars actual color and roof type, and display the status of all lights and flashers.
