The words TOP and POPS are in capitals so it makes it standout showing as if it is shouting at you and it could be referring to it being the top pop magazine.

The masthead of Rita Ora is very central and implies how cool she is by her amazing fashion sense.

There is a pull quote of JLS where it says “ I’d lick someone’s toe!” this is a pull quote as you do not know which member of JLS said this and you would like to find out more personal information on the music group.

This magazine is shown to be a very feminine magazine for young females with spare time, I know this as the magazine is pink which is a stereotypical feminine color and it features other feminine thinks like makeup and boybands most females like such as JLS.

The magazine also shows a large range of sub images so if you don’t like the main person in the magazine you might buy it as a one off because you like someone featured in a sub image.

”your” is used as a direct mode of address as if the magazine is talking to you you might feel more obliged to buy it

Her pose is very staged and fake showing she is trying to be a good role model but the fact that she has a lot of makeup and lipstick shows she might have been sexualized.

One Direction is the masthead image as they are the most popular and have the biggest fan base the fact that Harry Styles is in the middle shows that he is the main member of the band as he does the most singing and is the most popular.

The bright yellow color of the background makes the the red and black text of “wow unseen interview.” stand out, also the fact it is unseen from such a big band intrigues you to buy the magazine.

The fact that the magazine is bringing in YouTubers such as “Zoella” could show that the magazine is trying to reach out to a wider audience.

The magazine features a pun which appeals to a younger audience ”Luke who’s talking”

A pull quote is shown for example “no matter what you read I’m not dating anyone!” this is used to intise the reader as you are going to find out more about Taylor Swifts personal life

The first paragraph is in red and stands out from the other paragraphs which are in white showing it is more of an important paragraph.

The background has a dominant image and it shows you that it is Rita Ora by the large text that shows her name in the background, this matches her music as it looks like it was graffityed on the wall so this contrasts with her edgy style

The sub headings are also in red to stand out so you can easily tell when a new question starts or ends.

The Rita Ora text is covering her face showing that you may not know what she looks like, but you do know who she is from her popular name in the music industry

I also know that this magazine appeals to a younger audience

The contents pages is promoting the fact they have a 3d poster in one of their magazines pages this is a free thing and most people are attracted to free stuff. The magazine also shows you the page number where to find the 3d poster which encourages you to look through the magazine to find it.

There articles are split up with subheading such as we heart boys and celebs and gossip, they are split up like this so the page is more organized and easier to find the things you want

Sub images such as one direction are used as they are placed next to the possible the competition of things you can win and one of the prizes is one direction related

The picture of the magazine article is on show this is to show the reader what the main articles of the magazine were incase they didn’t check out the front cover in detail.

The fact that the magazine is pink/purple, shows pictures of feminine clothes, stereotypical boybands shows that this is a girly magazine. The main reason I know this is a girly magazine is that on the right side it points out to a page called we heart boys so obviously it is a girly magazine if girls like boys.

I know this is quite a young teen magazine as it has quite a messy layout and most of the people are pulling faces in the sub images. Another reason I know this is a young magazine is that it has Liam from Friday download and the shows main audience was teenagers.

I also know that this is a very feminine as mainly boy bands are shown as well as a lot of feminine colours.
