TUCKER 48

The Tucker 48 takes its name fromits inventor, Preston Tucker, and theyear it was produced: 1948.One innovative feature of theTucker 48 was its third headlightwhich sat in the middle of the twotraditional headlights. Only 51 cars were ever made. Aseach car was produced, engineersexperimented with design conceptsand improved upon their ideas, soeach Tucker is slightly different.

CADILLACELDORADOOne of Cadillac's most famous carsis the Cadillac Eldorado, which wasproduced from 1953 to 2002.Elvis Presley was a big fan ofCadillacs. In 1967, he purchased aTopaz Gold Firemist Eldorado whichhe later shot when it stoppedworking properly.Today, a 1953 Eldorado in excellentcondition can fetch up to nearly$200,000.

CHEVROLETCORVETTE

In 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette wasintroduced as a display model at theNew York Auto Show. It was sopopular that GM started selling it tothe public.In 1955, the Corvette began to comewith a V8 engine, a welcomeaddition that made the car fasterand more reliable.The most expensive Corvette everpurchased is the 1967 L88 Coupe. In2014 it was sold for $3.8 million atauction.

FORDMUSTANG

The original “pony car” appeared in1964.In its first year of production, Fordsold 126,538 units, and in 1965 thecompany sold 559,451 units.As a result of the Mustang’s success,Ford had many competitors such asthe Chevrolet Camaro and PontiacFirebird.2015 marked the Mustang’s sixthgeneration.
