MicroComp is a micro-computer gaging system.

When fitted to a gage fixture it can be the most accurate and repeatable dimensional measuring

instrument on the shop floor.

MicroComp’s three operating modes:

MicroComp can be used in any of three different ways.

1. Gage amplifier, with 1 or 2 LVDTs.

2. Temperature compensated gaging system.

3. Temperature compensation system for a host gage.

In this mode MicroComp is used as an indicator to read and display dimensional gaging results using LVDT or similar input devices. It can be

used with a single LVDT….

With the addition of temperature sensors, MicroComp can automatically compensate for the largest cause of gaging error - temperature.

Probe Calibration

Probe calibration is also easy. A step by step routine leads the user through the calibration process.

The “Select” button toggles to the probe to be calibrated.

“Next” soft key moves the highlight to the “Low” box.

Probe Calibration: set low pointThe “Low Calibration” box is automatically highlighted after entry has been made in the Digit screen.

The probe should now be set at its low end position, using gage blocks, masters or micrometer. The center soft key, now labeled “Master” in the LCD box above it, is pressed and the low point is set.

Probe Calibration: set high point

After mastering the low point the screen automatically highlights the “High Calibration” box.

The same procedure is followed for the high point, and calibration is complete for the selected probe.
