With either of acadia’s seating configurations, the smartslide system lets you slide the second-row seats forward with one hand (right) for easy access to the third-row seat. a second-row bench seat, standard on sL and available on other models, gives acadia room for eight. For seven-passenger seating, choose available second-row captain’s chairs (shown) and you get a generous aisleway with even easier access to the third row. the contoured third-row seat has room for three adults, with 57 inches of shoulder room for unexpected comfort and room to move. Both second- and third-row seatbacks fold forward and lie flush, effectively creating a flat cargo area surface and 116.9 cubic feet1 of cargo-carrying potential.

Acadia comes with six air bags,3 two front dual-stage air bags and two side-impact air bags for the driver and front-seat passenger, and head curtain side air bags with rollover protection that function like a protective curtain, unfolding from the roof rail on each side. Activated by side- impact and rollover sensors, each

curtain includes air bag sections for outboard front, second-row and third-row passengers. The front passenger air bag features a Passenger Sensing System. It uses a sensor within the front passenger seat to detect the weight of the occupant. Under a certain weight, the system auto-matically turns off the air bag.

In a crash, built-in sensors around your vehicle can automatically send an alert to OnStar.2 An OnStar Advisor is immediately connected to your vehicle to see if you need help. Even if you’re unable to respond, the Advisor will use advanced GPS technology to pinpoint your exact location to direct emergency help—even in areas of limited

cellular reception. The Advisor can also relay critical crash informa-tion to emergency responders, such as severity and type of crash, so responders are better equipped to treat you at the scene.
