What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

In the creation of my product I used a number of technologies as part of the task these being;

Using this camera was effective for taking my photos as the quality of the photo was extremely good which meant already the photography in my magazine had a professional touch to them. Another benefit of this camera was it had many special effects which was good in making my picture look eye-catching and interesting. I was able to see the pictures I had taken after which was very useful as I could see the camera shot and angle that I had taken and consider whether I was happy with the final image or whether it needed to be re-taken. The camera also had a large memory on it meaning I was able to keep all of the pictures until I could see them on the larger computer screen.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOPPhotoshop is an image manipulation program which allows me to play with the photos I have taken by editing them until I am satisfied with the final outcome. It was extremely useful in the development of my music magazine as it made my images appear more attractive and giving them the professional feel.

INTERNET EXPLORER

Throughout my music magazine task, the internet was immensely helpful to me in many ways. It helped me through my research into other music magazines to follow their codes& conventions which was useful and helped me develop my knowledge within the genre before attempting to represent it. The internet was also important in the creation of my blog which allowed me to document all the work I had completed in a clear way. My blog was also helpful in keeping track of skills and experience I had gained through my project. This helped considerably when it came to my final evaluation. I was also introduced to ‘dafont’ this helped me with my typography within the magazine as I was able to chose from a wide variety of choices as to what style I wanted.

Microsoft Publisher /PowerPoint

The Scanner

This technology of Microsoft Publisher helped me to prepare my magazine front page, contents page and double page spread. As well as drafting my blog posts ensuring they make sense. Microsoft PowerPoint helped me to create my evaluation enabling it too look more effective with lots of images, colour, videos and online resources enabling it too look visually exciting enabling the reader to be more engaged.

This technology helped me to scan in my completed questionnaires given by my target audience. This enabled me to prove I had completed a questionnaire and was particularly helpful through my audience feedback and research. An example of my scan can be seen underneath.
