• The Rocky Mountains form the longest mountain range in North America and the second-longest range in the world. They stretch 4800 km.

• Appalachian Mountains – East Coast, older, shorter

• Sierra Nevada – California, tallest mountain in the lower 48

• The Cascade Range is considered part of the Ring of Fire which is volcanoes that circle the Pacific Ocean.
