The titles in this short sequence are very distressed and judder around. The editorial overlays look similar to an old film. The stars names look as if they are scratched

into an negatives from a film camera. The titles appear on a black background or shadowy parts of the shots.

They also appear in the beat of the music.

This title sequence shows an enigma, there is a man that appears to be putting together a collection of things,

such as negatives, pages of notes, defaced photos, pages that have had certain words crossed out in relation to

what he is doing and hair, maybe from a victim or someone that he is going to target in the future.

All the way through there is very dark colours, red is also shown a lot to represent blood.

All of the shots are very close-up and uncomfortable, it gives an eerie feel as you cannot see the persons face.

Only their hands/finger tips. All of the camera shots are aimed at the sinister project or across the table top.

This is all to keep the viewer guessing and to keep them on edge as it shows that something is going to happen or has already happened. It sets the mood and shows you

that the film is going to be unpleasant throughout.

There is non-Diagetic sounds in this title sequence. These include:

Machinery.Electrical.

Records being scratched.Cranks being turned.

Scratching.Ghostly singing.

Screamy high pitched noises.Drumming.

Cymbal. This track gets faster and faster throughout .

At the start it just sounds like a collection of haunting noises whereas nearer the end of it, it sounds more like a

sound track.

The title sequence for this film is a number of different panning shots of New York city.

The producer of this title sequence has made it look as if the names of the stars in the film are on the sides of buildings. The font featured in this is very bold and

strong, much like big sky scrapers/big buildings.

The buildings in this title sequence are to do with the fact that the city is very vast and holds a lot of different people, in which have different morals, which is seen in

this film when a mother and daughter are trapped inside a panic room whilst criminals are inside their house

trying to get into the panic room to steal money kept in a safe. By showing these tall buildings it makes everyone

else below feel very small and vulnerable. The colours are very dull, the mist gives it and eerie feel.

All the shots are establishing shots , all of them are panning past the vast city buildings.

It gives you a sense of scale, this again makes you think about how vulnerable each person in the city is. Its

almost as if the camera is searching for something or someone.

The very last building before the park scene, just as the titles end, suggests that this is the target house for the criminals, this is because they have angled the shot so that the viewer is looking up at the house whereas the

rest of the angles have been looking down.

At the beginning of the opening sequence there is the slight sound of police sirens and then the slow sinister

music begins. This track almost sounds like a heart beat, which speeds up as the credits progress.

As well as this track, you can also hear the usual sounds that you would find in a city, such as car horns and

machinery.

The titles in this opening sequence appear to be being pieced together like a puzzle.

They are white on a dark background, the words are revealed slice by slice, horizontally and vertically. Once revealed the lines that reveal the names disappear and

the names are left on a black background. The titles are all in capitals, this reflects the film its self.

There is a black background with grey/brown lines that enter horizontally and vertically. There is no images or

filming shown in it.

The sounds in this are constant and sound hurried and tense. It is very fast and almost makes you panic. This music is also heard throughout in certain parts which makes you think that something is going to happen.

The instruments used (violin) sounds very chilling and puts you on edge. It sounds as if it is building up to

something terrifying.
