12 local teens responded to the call to form TAG
Members range in age from 12-17 Helped with October Book Sale by
decorating sidewalk and with muscle power Hosted a Winter Break Teen Center
afternoon Tutored students before semester exams Helped staff with various children’s
programs
Teen Advisory Group (TAG) Created
Author Emilie Richards Summer Reading performers Annual Hamilton Trio concert Fall Gardening Tips from LC Master
Gardeners Early Literacy, Storytimes, some with LVHS
Literary Guild students Book Clubs for children and adults
Programs
Coming up: Birds of Loudoun County, Loudoun County Women in the Civil War,
Talent Show, Poetry Readings, Kids’ Writing Workshop, Publishing Workshop
Programs
Marketing “College Courses” with Great Courses and Modern Scholar sets
Serving as a collection site for Western Loudoun Tree of Life Food Pantry
Displays and Partnerships
Made it through a flood in front of New Books when water overflowed from a pipe on the 2nd floor – no books or furniture suffered damage
Awaiting installation of new phone system Survived the Snowpocalyse of 2010 – only
one leak, did not run out of fuel oil, and caught up after being closed 6 days
