Personal Mythology/High ConceptsNow: “A sheltered twenty-something constantly looking for more happiness, one-way plane tickets, & french fries”

- A very short, straight, & to the point description of most young people who want to see all the things the world has to offer them. From post-grads and or people who simply want change, this kind of story is relatable to almost everyone, and represents the crossroads and new beginnings we experience as people.

Culturally: “A typical village girl who seeks adventure and a better life and yearns to see the world beyond her small isolated province”- Many folk tales and stories, as well as personal journeys and stories are very similar to the high concept described above. Many people

want to break free from their current life situations and yearn to live a life with something more that what they already have.

Future: “Just another girl accepting adulthood but refusing to let all of its responsibilities and obligations keep her from being happy”- Continuing with the idea of wanting more out of life and finding an adventure outside of what you know, this high concept is personal

and relatable to many people. Many people, myself included, just want to live a happy life.

Story High ConceptA young girl named _____, lives in a rural village in the middle of lush, green forest. Since day one, the occurrences, events and everythings else in between have been unchanged. She’s picked the same fruit, climbed the same trees, seen the same people everyday, hunted the same animals and maintained the same traditions that her tribe has kept for decades. However, from the tall branches of the trees she can see on the horizon what looks like the end of the jungle and the beginning of a new landscape. What is beyond her green forest? What exists in a land free of trees and rivers? What will happen when she trades her well-being with her village for an unknown future exploring outside her home? All she knows is that the adventure and freedom from the mundane is just beyond that last tree.
