“Here I am again. They said I wouldn’t make it on the outside. If only I didn’t meet that dame.

Flashback to Buster leaving jail.

Page 4: Noir narrative task

Buster in the bar, drinking his sorrows away.

Page 5: Noir narrative task

Buster is greeted by a gangster who offers him a job. Buster turns down the job can’t keep his eyes of the gangster's girlfriend, Lacey Lane.

Page 6: Noir narrative task

Lacey Lane returns to the bar another night, finding Buster. She whispers seductively in his ear. She has a plan which she needs Busters help for. They arrange to meet.

Page 7: Noir narrative task

Lacey Lane tells Buster to kill her gangster boyfriend so they can run away with the money. She gives him a gun and kiss.

Page 8: Noir narrative task

Buster finds the Gangster and shoots him as leaves his house one night.

Page 9: Noir narrative task

Buster and Lacey meet up in the dingy motel room. She thanks him and promises to run away with him that night.

Page 10: Noir narrative task

Buster goes to the railway station to meet with Lacey. He realises he’s been set up. A police officer says he’s going to take Buster back to jail. Lacey Lane watches in the distance.

Page 11: Noir narrative task

Buster grabs the policeman’s gun in anger, and shoots Lacey Lane with it. She dies and Buster is taken back to prison.

“If only I walked away when I had the chance. You see, the dames always bring a man down. She won’t hurt any more suckers now.
