Multi Camera Production Proposal

What is the show about?• A comedy chat show (similar to Jonathan Ross show but with a twist)• New star guests come on to the show every week• There will be more than one star guest• The presenter asks questions and get’s to know a little bit more about

what the star is doing. For example, if the star guest is an artist then the presenter will ask questions about a new upcoming song, music video, album or concert.

• There is going to also be interaction with the audience where they get to ask the star guests questions.

• Before the end of the show, there is a quiz for both star guests to participate in where they get asked several questions and whoever wins get’s rewarded with a prize.

Where will this show take place?• In a hall or classroom• The reason I have chosen these two locations is because a hall is

big and there is plenty of space to set up the cameras and other equipment needed such as tripods, lighting, and microphones.

• A classroom would also be efficient to film in as there is not much space needed for where the presenter and star guests are going to be sitting. However the cameras might need to be positioned differently as appose to in the hall.

• Since a hall might be harder to find and book for when filming needs to be done, I think a classroom would be the best place to film my production in.

Who will the show feature?• My show will feature 2 star guests who will be acted out by two people

from the class.• A presenter will also be needed to host the show and ask the star guests

questions.• This is a comedy chat show therefore it will be ideal to feature people

who have a good sense of humour and are quite amusing.• Since there will be an audience involved, who will be asking questions to

the star guests, you will have to be ready and active to answer the questions that will be asked.

Why would an audience want to watch or come to your show?

• The featured star guests in the show will catch a lot of attention from the audience encouraging them to come and watch the show.

• Since the audience are able to interact with the guests, it will also make the audience want to come and ask probably their favourite artist or actor questions they’ve been wanting to ask them a very long time.

• The quiz will also bring up a lot of attention from the audience because as well as the star guests participating, the audience will also make a big effort on challenging themselves by answering the questions building up tension in the scene.

How would you like the cameras to be set up to get the best possible shots?• I will have 5 cameras set up for this production.• 2 cameras for a cross shot to show the conversation between one or

two of the star guests and the presenter.• An establishing shot to show the environment.• A mid-shot to show all 3 participants (Presenter & both Star guests) • Another establishing shot to show the audience

What music will you use? What sound effect will you use? Will you use a green screen?

• For the title sequence of my show, I will have up beat music.• The presenter and star guests will have introduction music before they

arrive on stage, for example if it were an artist coming on stage, their recent song is played.

• The same up beat song will then follow through until the presenter is on stage before they introduce themselves.

• Again, the same music will be played for when the star guests are arriving on stage.

• For the quiz, there will be sound effects. For example there will be a noise to identify whether a question has been answered correctly or incorrectly.

Target Audience• My show is targeted mostly at males and females aged 20-35• The reason for the age limit being that high is because there might be

swearing and sexual language involved.• My show will be shown at watershed times as it is not appropriate for

young kids.
