The Conversation

This is the section of the clip where Sarah is having a conversation with her daughter and she is talking about her birthday and how they are going to celebrate it. This shot last around 6 seconds and it roughly ends with Sarah smiling at her daughter. This is devastating because it’s the final scene between a mother and daughter.

The Crash

This showing everything that is in this scene and then all of a sudden there is a van approaching and then random poles going everywhere. It starts with Sarah asking her husband if he feeling alright. At this point this is where everything changed and the poles went through the car and killed Paul and Jessica by the three poles that hit the car. The pace is very quickly because it makes you feel as if you are there, giving you a range of the crash but not giving a lot of the crash to make it explicit and gory.

CGI

Computer Generated Images – this is the part of the scene where we see that the poles are actually not hitting anyone and they are swerving everyone. It is shown that there is already blood and there is a pole attached already. The poles are edited and they are faded when you zoom into the picture and catch it quickly. They are simple .jpeg images that they been inserted. This shows that we make ourselves believe a lot of things because the poles are not actual there at the same time.

Transitions

The main transition that is in this scene is where the whole scene goes darker after the poles go through the car. The scene fades out showing that something dramatic has happened and creates the whole effect that there is mystery and an eerie vibe that is in the atmosphere at the time.
