Master’s Project-Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist. He took black and white landscape photographs. He also took photos of the American West. His photos have been reproduced on calendars, posters and books.

Master’s Impact

Ansel Adams’ impact was tremendous on the photography industry. He also developed the Zone system as a way to get the proper exposure and adjust the contrast of the final print. His photos were characterized by their high clarity and depth.

Homage

I chose this photographer because I really enjoy looking at photos of nature and landscapes. I also really enjoy taking and editing landscape and nature photos as well. I also really love the way he uses high contrast, I think it really makes the important parts of the picture stand out.
