The Masthead is Big and Bold and jumps straight to the attention of the reader. It is put there in the usual font used by VOGUE to keep the classic image of the magazine

The editors have used soft and neutral colours, with the bold red writing to make Cara stand out but also the writing to jump out to the readers.

On the front cover there is only around 5 colours used, the creates a simple pallet which is clean and classic.

Cara Delavigne Is a huge fashion icon, so having her on the front of VOGUE, help them to attract an audience as many aspire and like her attitude and personality. Creating the perfect person for a front cover.

They have chosen to pick out numbers here and enlarged them to make them attract the audience as it makes them look forward to what is inside and shows that they have a lot to offer.

Cara looks straight into the camera whilst her body is slightly twisted to one side. Having the individual looking straight ahead is a very common image used by VOGUE

The main colours used within this power point are red black and light brown, the red is bold and the black also stands out amongst the red whilst the brown fits in subtlety. Red being the main focus of the front page of the magazine cover

They’ve taken the icon mickey mouse ears and placed them on a scary looking smudged painted face, which creates a kind of interesting yet weird take on mickey mouse; which helps set out what type of people may be attracted to this type of magazine

The master head is bold and simple and is mounted upon a bold red background, making it stand out even more.

They’ve also chosen to pick out the word ‘believe’ and place it in bold red, creating a question for the reader.

They have used a simple colour pallet of only white, red and black. this shows how they have made the simplicity of the front cover work and how this will attract the audience that they want to, with the interesting cover

They have placed where the magazine is from in the left hand corner. Allowing it to be a collectors item for the keen every week readers

The main colours are red black and white, the red is used for the boldness to make it stand out amongst the simplicity of the white and black character printed on the front page, using the classic three colour structure which many magazines use when it comes to the front cover as three colours that go together cannot distract or take away the beauty of the front cover as it’ll never be to much going on with too many colours

The master head is in bold whilst it follows on the ‘review of the year’ which is also in a black bold text whilst not drawing attention away from the readers eye of the title it allows the flow from title to the next piece of information in the typical z pattern.

The middle of the z pattern hits her eyes to make contact with the reader; then there is a gap between the z pattern.

At the end of the pattern you hit more bold writing but this time it is in white on top of a mix of purple and pink, standing out from the background of the magazine.

NME is a music magazine and as it says here it is reviewing the year so it has all types of music for all types of people, which helps to accumulate a bigger reading

Femalely dressed but with a fierce coloured hair and posture, then the shoes are sparkly and girly

They use a mix of blues dark pinks and light musky browns to create the patterned background

The main colours on the front page are pink, blue black and a pop of yellow white and black, NME has taken on a very different front cover not using the usual three colour front cover

Placed in the middle of the top of the page to catch the readers eye when they first open the page which shows them what they are about to read, but here they have taken a fun take on it with a simple black writing but adding cartoon characters within the lettering

Little animated drawings placed around the title to add the magazines own individual style

Picture placed quite largely taking up a reasonable amount of space on the page indicating to a story within the magazine that may draw to the readers attention. Whilst the photo has a dog centered within it to give the grunge look of the man and the dog together

Page numbers and indicators to where they can see the upcoming events and stories, an essential in a contents page

Another picture placed to show a story that you're able to read within the magazine context, placed here to again attract the readers eye to a more popular story. Also the picture focuses on all the men in a wide shot, fitting everyone into frame whilst still capturing every emotion within the signle frame

THIS WEEK, in bold letters to which attracts the readers eye straight away to inform on THIS WEEKS events, with the date and year placed slightly underneath it

A photo placed slightly off center, drawing attention straight to the middle of the page and then leading you to follow the text underneath it, drawing it to the start of a ‘big’ story

Using the three column system, they list the page numbers on the right hand side with a band index on the left, allowing the readers to access all the information they need on the front page including extra information from the ‘band index’

NME in a smaller font as it does not need to be the main focus of attention for the contents page.

Offers placed at the last part of the page that the readers will read.

Placing the figure of Kanye West draws the attention of the correct audience, by making them attracted to what they may be able to read, swaying them more towards the magazine; making it more interesting for them

In an unusual style the whole word not fitting in the right corner, they have spaced it so you can still read what it says but in a more quirky unusual way

The issue number of the magazine placed slightly below the title, indicating what type of magazine and how many magazines there are

As Kanye West takes up most of the page the features and numbers of the page are placed within the right hand corner at still a readable size, adding a more simple look to the magazine instead of a cluttered look, they have gone for the grey black and blue look

They have made the vaccines the main center stage of the page, in a vintage style photo showcasing each of their individual styles, within the one shot you can see and get a feel for the band and what type of music they might play as this isn't a bright loud pop kind of magazine photo, they have gone for simple but vintage looking, portraying their indie style

Bold simple writing on an off white background, again showing the simplicity of the band whilst still looking good

Important quotes from a band member placed in a bolder colour, to show the importance of his speech, and the effect it could possibly have on people

The guitars placed just out of frame to show what the band has to offer and what kind of music they may play if you'd never heard of them before

An interview written with the band and published within the magazine which helps to attract fans to the magazine as they want to know and hear about the band and to keep up to date with them

Iconic logo on the left hand side, showing off the magazine and the classic-ness of it. Whilst not taking attention away from the man standing in what looks like an awkward position to capture the item that he is holding in center frame

Quotes from within the latest interview placed on the front to attract the audience with a short snippet of text

A simple image to go along with the simplicity of the magazine, but the beauty of the image still catches the audiences eye whilst still keeping the clean classic simple look of the ID magazine

Three columns of text, for the readers to read about the topic the picture is based of, which is why the picture is important as it helps sway the readers into reading more about what the picture is trying to get across, the classic three columns is seen throughout many magazines as it is simple to read and for the eye to follow

Pink bold writing to grab the audiences eye, whilst not distracting attention away from the rest of the magazine but still giving a positive effect

An abnormal looking vehicle/object attracting the readers eye, making people want to learn more about this and to look onto the following pages

A simple shot of the band placed on one page with the white writing across it, to show people who may not know who they are or what they look like or just to give readers a look at the band together

The I placed in bold blue at the start of the sentence adding a personal individual style to the magazine, not seen in many other music magazines adding the edge to it

an interview with the band to show there personalities and to attract the audience to read, with a full page column, again using the three column structure for the easy read and simplicity

Bold writing at the bottom of the page which attracts the eye but doesn’t take away the effect of the image or the interview with the band. It is simple but still has an impact on the page as a whole, Bold writing is commonly seen throughout many music magazines, but each magazines applies it in their own personal way to make it look different and not like something you have possibly seen before

Images from the bands gigs, helps to show the atmosphere and their popularity; which helps to attract audiences
