Difference Between Music Teacher and

Vocal Trainer

Now it is important to sing under professional

guidance if one wants to become a thorough

professional singer. Nowadays, you can

always get that help if you have the source to

fund it. We often make the mistake of

realizing whom to approach for help for

singing. But remember, a music teacher and

a vocal trainer are quite different from each

other and their job also differs. A music

teacher is one who teaches you music theory,

style, musical notes and notations. While a

vocal trainer teaches you how to sing high

notes, take care of your vocal chords and

modulates your voice. So remember to learn

from a music teacher and/or a vocal trainer,

but at different times as per the need.

Singing Tips for Kids

It is best to learn how to sing when you are

young. While in your first grade itself, if you

start to develop your vocals, it would be

easier for you to master the art of singing as

time goes by. Children should perform all the

vocal exercises properly. The child should

follow a healthy diet as it plays an important

role while singing. Professional guidance

should be given to the child keeping in mind

his interests. Make sure not to force the child

into singing if he is not passionate about it.

Singing classes should not be taken long at

one sitting as the child may not grasp

everything in one go. So ask the trainer to

divide the basics into many parts so that the

child does not get bored. Make the child

practice singing regularly, and lastly, do not

pressurize the child to sing.
