Ordered and defined stages of the Design Process:

The audience you are trying to appeal your product/design too. Incorporate what they like into a product/design that is practical yet aesthetically pleasing to the client.

This is when you look at all your ideas and evaluate which is the best by weighing up the pros and cons for each idea, then making an educated decision for your chosen idea.

The problem is when you find an issue with how the product/design fits together or looks or works e.t.c. When a problem occurs then a solution must be found.

This is the combination of all your ideas possibly coming together or collecting them all into one place to begin refining.

The brief is a written explanation of what you want to achieve at the end of the project and all the outcomes you want to have finished by the deadline.

A prototype is when you make a ‘mock-up’ version of your product/design, this allows you to fix any problems that may occur before you make the final piece.

Research is the process of collecting information, about your type of product/design or client/customer, e.t.c.

This is when you have addressed the problems you found with the previous prototypes and you now have no problems with the product/design.

This is when you discuss or write down in detail all the specific elements that make up your product/design.

This is when you become fully aware of what your product/design is going to look like and how it is going to function.

When you brainstorm ways in which your problem can be resolved and you choose the best possible alternative.

An objective and subject review of my product and it’s suitability for purpose. An honest review of my project management and performance.
