Equipment and Costs • Equipment needed/recommended:

A 35mm SLR Manual Camera or a digital camera with full Manual controls.If using a digital camera it is recommended that the student has a computer with Photoshop and a good quality printer.

• Costs:Students pay a base fee to cover school materials which covers the cost of chemicals, paper and specialist classroom equipment.Students can expect to spend a further $150 dollars over the course of the year. This will cover the costs of paper, film, memory cards etc…

ALL MATERIALS BROUGHT THROUGH THE SCHOOL ARE HEAVILY DISCOUNTED AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL PRODUCTS ARE BOUGHT THROUGH THE SCHOOL.

• Exhibitions- The opportunity to exhibit work in the public forum.

• Competitions – Students are encouraged to enter local and national competitions – In 2006 Lauren Wright was placed in the top 6 of the Auckland Photography Festival competition.

• Gallery Visits – Students are encouraged to visit galleries in their local community and in central Auckland to extend their knowledge of Art and ideas.
