Navy

ServiceI can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: “I served in the United States Navy.”

The U.S.S. Joseph E. Connelly

USS Joseph E. Connolly (DE-450) was a John C. Butler-class destroyer escort acquired by the U.S. Navy during World War II. The primary purpose of the

destroyer escort was to escort and protect ships in convoy, in addition to other tasks as assigned, such as patrol or radar picket.

The U.S.S. Dionne

USS Dionne (DE-261) was an Evarts-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy during World War II. She was sent off into the Pacific Ocean to

protect convoys and other ships from Japanese submarines and fighter aircraft. She performed escort and antisubmarine operations in dangerous battle areas and returned home with six battle stars, a high number for a

Thank you all…

We can't thank you all enough for your thoughts. It

is comforting to have so many friends praying for

our family during this difficult time. It is with deep

appreciation that we say thank you for the many

expressions of love, kindness and support shown to

us. Thank you for all you’ve done.
