Title
The Title Working Title; “The Hoarder”
Our story is about an older lady who is need of aid carrying her bags from the local market. A young lady dressed in a lot of dark colour, looks up from her headphones, rolls her eyes and runs over to the lady. Offering her help the lady jumps at the opportunity. Walking up a large door, the older lady asks the young lady to drop the bags in the sitting room. Offering the young lady money and a drink to say thank you, she walks off screen to a kitchen. The muffled sound of a scream comes from a far. The young girl is quick to look for it, coming to a door she rests her ear against it. Walking back in with the elderly lady she offers the young girl to go in to the room. As the door open, she is grabbed by someone with a large hand, pulling her in to the room. With the silent scream as you hear the sound of tape coming off the roll. Then silence, a light is then switch on by the same large hand in which grabbed the young girl. You are found to be in a room, featured by a large table in the middle of the room. The door is graded by a large male in baby clothing, while the old lady stands linked armed with him. A close up shot is shown of the new girl added in to a “staged tea party” while a panning shot of everyone else in the room is shown to you. You feel the sense of tension, while the little old lady goes around the room dusting off her “life dolls” and humming to an old record.

INSPIRATIONAfter watching a number of short films via these ports available online, we have been able to have inspiration from the short films in which we have watched. Examples to follow
Via the Vimeo page, we watched a short films called “Vienna waits for you” from watching this short film, it provided us with inspiration for:
•Props
•Characters
•Costumers
“Vienna Waits for
you”
We then wanted to start looking in to the types of colours we would have within our shot film, with the use of colour comes the emotions we are able to build for our audince.
Abandoned
“Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. You don’t know what goes on behind
close doors.
Our short film is completely flipping stereotypes.
It starts off that you think that the girl, who looks very stereotypically chavvy, is going to rob the old lady
This is completely flipped as you go through the film and it turns out that the old lady has problems of her own.
It opens your mind and makes you think twice about how you judge people by the way that they look.
Thank you. Any questions?
