4. The view from the hotel was nice, we didnt know what other scenic surprises Ecuador had in store for us!
5. Day one was Sunday and started off with Mass
6. Our First day of clinicals was not till Tuesday, so we all set off to be tourists for the first few days.First stop, the middle of the world, the Mitad Del Mundo.This is a monument on the equator.

10. The next day was a trip to Otavalo for an afternoon of shopping.The drive over was a hilly adventure with plenty of scenery to look at.
11. We did make a stop or two for photo opportunities
and we saw a real indian
and it was windy.
12. After Otavalo, we made a stop by a volcano.Its actually a lake in a volcanic depression, so theres no magma just water.The view looked like something out of Jurrasic Park.
13. After all thesightseeing, it came time for medical portion of the trip!
Day one and two was held at the school.
14. The school is up in the mountains, the view is quite surreal.

19. Two characters ready for the dusty ride home.The roads to the school are all dirt.
20. The next two days of clinic was held at the church.

Over four days ofhard work, 440 people were helped thru the clinic.There were many more who were not able to make it thru when we ran out of time, but we were still able to give them vitamins, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other things. After we packed up, we headed out to the city of Quitofor our last day in Ecuador.

26. The Teleferico is similar to a ski lift to the top of a mountain, about 13,500 feet in elevation.Check out the pictures carefully, we were walking above the clouds!You can actually see the lift in the pictures from the top of our hotel:

31. Thanks for viewing, I hope it was enjoyable.After a long week of hard work and sightseeing, I left with new friends and memories of a great experience.I had a great time.No, I did not fly the airplane home.
