DUNCAN LOUGHREY PHOTOGRAPHY

Duncan Loughrey is creating images for the advertising industry since his early 20s having set up his business after leaving college. In that time, he shot a wide range of subjects for a wide range of clients. Nowadays he concentrate mostly on food and still life, but he still turns his hand to other

areas that take his interest, whether it’s people, architecture or landscape. The hairline has receded over the years, but the client list continues to grow, with small start-ups to big multinationals

being added annually.

Duncan's style is simple, graphic and uncomplicated. Most of what he captures is taken on to Linhof M679cs with Phase One digital back – image quality is second to none. He’s a dab hand at retouching too so any postproduction work is done in-house allowing him complete control over

what he does.

I like this photo because, even the

persons full face is not in this photograph it

still shows many more things which makes

this picture excellent.

This photo is just of a bottle of Heineken Light beer and I like this photo because it

a close up of the photo it shows the

texture of the bottle. And shows the

bubbles in the bottle and froth. But its an

amazing photo.

I chose this photo because it’s a type of photo that you just look at and

makes you hungry. I like the way he has

taken the photograph of the

chocolate cake sprinkled with sugar flour on top with the

ice cream on the side and mint leaf.

I chose this photo because the photograph is abstract photo. As the photograph may be a bit plain compared to other photographers out there but it has its own ways to

make the photo respectable. The effect

attracts me from the blue tray effecting with the

background.

I like this photo as is a very simple photo of food but it stands out very well with the white in the back

making the food come out of the picture
