Double-page Spread Analysis

Page 2: Double Page Spread Analysis

On this double page spread, they’ve used blacks, blues and whites. This is really effective for it as it makes it more bold and helps it to stand out more. On one page, it is a full size image taking it all up, their ‘’chilled-out’’ look makes them look cool and provides help to get readers more interested in them as they look like

a pretty relaxed new band. With a logo on the top left and bottom left we have a ‘’need to know’’ information box, which has been created by a Paintshop brush. On the other side we have a text filled page with thumbnail images showing examples of storied included. In the middle of the main section of text we have reversed out writing on a quote using blue and white. This page is really good as it has a lot going on

but is not too much that the reader would be put off.

On this double page spread, they’ve used blacks and whites, with a few colours in places to make them stand out. On one page, it is a full size image taking it all up, it is headed in the left bottom corner ‘the Chapman family’ which we have them all sat in a living room but with blind folded people around that don’t really fit with the image. It could be that it is saying that these are an individual band who have a mix of interest and

don’t just ‘’stick with one thing’’. On the other side we have a text filled page, in the middle of the section we have a quote using bigger, bold black writing. In the top right we have boxing in different colours with ‘’new

noise’’ written inside it which could be the name of the section we are looking though.

On this double page spread, they’ve used whites, blacks and gold, its really effective as it goes with what the Black Eyed Peas are wearing. Across the page we have the Black Eyed Peas faded out into the

background, but we also have one who isn’t which makes the reader look at him as the leader or of more importance. There is a sub-heading in big bold lettering saying ‘’will he won’t he’’ which makes the reader

question if it is about this person who is not faded out leaving. On the other side we have a text filled page, in the middle of the main section of text we have reversed out writing on a quote using black and

white. This page would keep the reader’s interest as it is about a popular band today and doesn’t change subject, it is all dedicated to one thing.
