Compare and Contrast

My contents page was inspired by Shout magazines contents page and the two share some similar features. Both of the contents pages have the masthead in the top left-hand side of the page in a big font. Also, both of the contents pages have the title ‘What’s inside’. The list of features both are sorted into categories and both have a line in between the two columns. However, my contents page has an editors note whereas Shout’s does not. Both of the contents page’s have the date but they are in different places. The date on my contents page is under the ‘contents’ in the top right-hand corner whereas Shout’s date is next to the masthead. Both of the contents pages have a coloured square with the sub images in, however mine also includes social media links and subscription information whereas Shout’s does not. My contents page, also, has some sub images outside of this box. Both of the contents pages have the web address next to the page number in the bottom right-hand corner. Shout’s contents page is, obviously, more professional looking than mine and I will take more inspiration from this in my next draft. I will try and get rid of the amount of white space and I will make the box of sub images more organised. I will, also, try to declutter the whole page and may rethink some of the font choices.
