Comfortably Alone Sometimes in life, it's hard to ask for anything at all. You know what you are deprived of, know what you lack, but you are so comfortably numb that you'd rather sit in peace with all your insecurities than move your lips to pray. You can feel yourself slowly burning inside, not violently, not aggressively, just slowly enough for the fire to consume you when you're not even noticing, because it's easier to zone out and fly away from reality, watching the world go by, while you are still comfortably alone, in a far away little corner - invisible, unreachable, yet, undeniable in existence. It's at times like these that neither life nor death seems like an unpleasant option, because you're floating in the middle anyway.

Comfortably Alone

Sometimes in life, it's hard to ask for anything at all. You know what you are deprived of, know what you lack, but you are so comfortably numb that you'd rather sit in peace with all your insecurities than move your lips to pray. You can feel yourself slowly burning inside, not violently, not aggressively, just slowly enough for the fire to consume you when you're

not even noticing, because it's easier to zone out and fly away from reality, watching the world go by, while you are still comfortably alone, in a far away little corner - invisible,

unreachable, yet, undeniable in existence. It's at times like these that neither life nor death seems like an unpleasant

option, because you're floating in the middle anyway.

Floating and not stuck. Floating because you are too numb to feel yourself, too light to carry your own burden, and too

weak to live. But it's at a time like this when you realize that weakness doesn't have to be your destiny, it doesn't have to be the stop. And in that one split second of realization, your life changes forever, and you emerge from your own ashes,

like a Phoenix, stronger and more powerful than ever. That's when you know you're ready to feel again- feel, breathe, live-

no matter what the circumstances, because now, you're no longer that weak little lamb that can be knocked down in one

blow. Now, you're a soldier, who can carry on despite the innumerable wounds. That soldier, that Phoenix- that should

be your ultimate destination.
