Introduction: What Is Graphic Design?

Definition of Graphic design

- creative process of ; idea

- ideas ; work, event, experience, movie, issue, solution, invention

- involving client and designer

- convey specific messages of communication and presentation

- relationship produces visual communication and communication

design

- Methods; words, symbol, images

(to create visual presentation of ideas and messages)

- Medium used; typography, visual arts, page layout

(produces balance, focused and symmetrical final result)

- Application; logo, branding (identity), newspapers, magazines,

books (publication)

- Characters and presentation;

- Visual art design

(visuals are from nature and experience - traditional media –

photography - digital art - final composition)

- Typography (art, craft and techniques of type design)

* Modifying type (glyphs)

* Arranging typeface

* Type glyphs (characters) are been created and modified using

variety of illustration techniques.

* Arrangement typeface, point size, tracking

(space between two specific characters)
