Madeleine- this is Maddie our lead character in our horror trailer. Age: 13 years old

Family: Mum (Susan) Dad (Andy) Only child.

Hobbies: Ballet, gymnastics.

Name choosing:

When looking at a name for our protagonist, we decided we wanted to choose a common middle class name to make the trailer more generalizable to our audience. This will make the trailer scarier because it will be ‘closer to home’ and will relate more to the viewers. On the charts for the last 5 years Madison has been a popular name, the abbreviation of this is Maddie, however we felt the longer version madeleine has a more horror effect.

Outfit:

Knitted tights/ frilly socks/dress (stereotypical young girl clothes.) Ideas: When looking into different 13-year-old girls, the outfit focus is often on cute day dresses, considering it is Maddie’s birthday we will use this aspect. We will look into charity shops, to find young colourful dresses that we can use for Maddie.

Hairstyles:

We want a hairstyle, which represents the correct age frame. The first picture we have included is a plait something we thought would be appropriate for a child’s birthday party. The second picture we have included is of a basic ponytail as we thought it would be nice to keep it basic to make it realistic as possible. We found out through our research that the most common hairstyle worn by 13 year olds is a ponytail.
