Slow motion

The picture shows and image of three water balloons getting popped on after the other. The camera has captured each shot mid pop showing the water still in the fixed position, but the balloon itself is vanishing. For this to be taken the photographer will need to have a quick reaction time so he/she is able to capture the image throughout popping, also he would need to have a steady hand or a stand for the camera so the images are not taken from multiple angles but to also avoid the images being blurry due to the camera’s movements. I think the meaning behind the picture is to maybe suggest that changes can happen very quickly and sometimes it can change within I blink of a eye, but also it could connote that life isn’t perfect and things may happen that we may not expect.

Time lapseIt shows a picture of the morning sky and then gradually as time passes throughout the day the sky changes to night, using many lines of pictures throughout the day to make it look like it is gradually getting darker. You would need to have taken the pictures at the same level so the different pictures that had been taken can all level up with each other, even with the buildings they had to have been connected well with each other.I think that maybe the meaning behind the photograph is to show what we take for granted during the day and how quick time can go by without even noticing the beauty, that is always around us. Also it may suggest maybe romance as couples go to places where they can spend the day and look out at the views watching the sunset.

Quick shotIt shows a picture of a egg mid smashing whilst all the yolk is pouring out of the cracked egg. You would need to have again a steady arm and be able to capture the image just right to give the best effect of the egg smashing.I think this picture could suggest that it is maybe life ending, or also that life is pouring out of a “person” and they are maybe living life to the fullest. Also the picture could demonstrate that it is very fragile and it could crack at any moment if not treated right.

Action shotThe picture shows a treat being thrown to a dog, and he/she is about to catch the biscuit in his mouth. To get the picture you would need to have a good eye to be able to catch the shot at the right angle but also the right timing as if not the picture would not of been as effective. In my opinion I think the picture suggests that the closer you get to achieving success the happier the person or other thing will become and the further away the object or success is the more you will have to work to achieve it.

Time lapse/Slow motionThe picture shows a gymnast gradually performing a backflip and the different stages in which it I performed. To be able to take the images you need to be able to get the images at the right angle for all the shots and make sure all the people or person is in each image so it again is most effective.I think that this image maybe suggests that you have to have the perfect timing and also that if mistakes are made in life then it could change it quit drastically.

The are some of the better pictures i had taken some where failed pictures, but these are the ones that I was able to get bits of the balloon popping on but I was only able to capture one good one where the balloon popping is more noticeable.

With this picture I turned it black and white and then played around with the different colours found in the picture to produce this and you also get to see the reflection of the bricks on the wall. I decided to put it in black and white as this helps to bring out the splash more than the original I thought. Also I think this shows time most effectively as this shows what the eye doesn’t, and what capturing images at the right time can actual be seen through the naked eye.

With this picture I turned up the brightness of the picture and started to play around with the different colours that were already involved in the picture so I made the wall more red and so it stands out more but also I made the water a brighter white colour so again it stands out more. Also I turned the brightness down in the background making the bubble look a lot more in focus but also more effective and eye-catchy.

This is the original photograph of the water balloon popping, where I took multiple pictures to try and capture the balloon popping at the exact time. I got people to drop the water balloons from a balcony , and had to have good timing to capture the image just at the right time. The picture took me a while to take as I kept taking the pictures to early or too late but I was able to capture this mid burst, also I think this shows time as we are not able to see this as the balloon pops, so being able to capture the photograph and seeing what we miss because of the speed in which it falls shows how time is important.
