Argumentative Essay The movie producer Silver Screen Movie Production Company says that not many people are attending to see their movies. The reason proposed as the cause for this situation is that the advertisement and the good reviews given by movie reviewers are not reaching the general public and, therefore, are not being effective. The producer sates that good movie reviews are not reaching the people, so they can have a motivation to go and actually see the movie. Now, the truth is that people not necessary read reviews about the movies in order to decide whether or not it is worth seeing. Many people usually decide this after seeing a “cool” advertisement or trailer that shows the most; let's say, intense parts of the movie, in order to leave the people intrigued about the movie, and make them become interested in the film. It is true that people would prefer advertisement and trailers in order to know about the movies they are going to see, but if the producer spends more money in advertisement than in producing movies, then the quality of the movies might be affected. Then, if movies are bad quality ones, even with the best advertisement there would still be a decrease in people's attendance to Silver Screen movies, so clearly this is not the best solution. The producer states that the reason for the decrease in the attendance of people to see their movies is because good reviews and advertisement are not reaching the general public. To this they propose to spend more on advertisement than on producing movies, which on the contrary would affect the quality of the movies and, therefore, people's attendance to them. Also people not necessary read reviews before and to see movies, so this is not a valid reason for the lack of people's attendance. Most people prefer good and intense advertisement that gets them intrigued to see the movie, in order to discover what was left unexplained in the trailer or advertisement.
