HOW THE GENRE OF MUSIC WE HAVE CHOSEN HAS INFLUENCED OUR ALBUM

ARTWORK.

ARCTIC MONKEYS

Since we chose a Arctic Monkeys song to make our music video to we decided to research the types of album artwork the Arctic Monkeys used. We found the album cover to 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' Particularly appealing, we liked the way the shot was framed and the black and white, we decided to incorporate similar ideas into out Artwork. We used the ides of the front cover featuring a close up of a face, and the back cover featuring another close up of the same face being partially covered, and applied it to the photo's we had taken.

For the 'art booklet' featured in most CD's we decided to research the indie-rock genre, we found black and white was often prevalent in

album covers/booklets. We did some research into the band 'Muse's artwork booklet and found we liked the way they often incorporated the lyrics

into visuals, and how the text often has a different layout than 'block text.

We considered some of the ideas and tried to apply them to our work, trying different ideas for different songs and testing how they could relate to the visuals, the images surrounding are some tests and some screenshots of the final product. Where we have edited the text for different effects.
