Athirapally Waterfalls is one of the biggest waterfalls in India and

the most famous tourist place in Kerala. Athirapally waterfall is

the perfect spot for the tourists to explore the beauty of natural

waterfalls.

For years, authorities in India have sought to build a

hydroelectric dam on a remote stretch of the Chalakudy River.

The area is home to more than 50 tribal families. The dam would

destroy the falls, wildlife habitat, the migration paths of Asian

Elephants and also tribal families. So TravelMate organized a
