Singapore is a city-state in the Malay Archipelago, founded as a British trading post in 1819.Grew as a mix of three cultures and ethnic groups: Malay (the indigenous, Muslims), Indian (immigrants, Hindus) and Chinese (immigrants), with the founders' culture added to the mix.Since independence became one of the world's most prosperous countries.Sports the world's busiest port.A modern vibrant Garden City (in a tropical climate).
