Sightseeing in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, a unique city

Amsterdam is a unique city in a number of ways. It has maintained its originality despite being a hot tourist destination in the world

Canals of Amsterdam

The canals were built in the 17thcentury or controlling the flow of River Amstel. The canals helped in adding dry lands to the area. On the either banks of the canal, majestic buildings create a spectacular setting. Besides the Dutch architecture buildings, you can also book accommodation in a houseboat hotel in the canals.

VAN GOGH MUSEUM

The museum is the largest collection of Van Gogh’s works in the world. Since the paintings have been arranged chronologically, you can take a close look on them to learn about evolving style of the artist. The museum also has paintings by the contemporaries of Van Gogh

Bloemenmarkt

Bloemenmarkt is located on the Singel canal’s south bank. It is the only floating flower market in the world. The market is primarily meant for catering to the tourists. You can find a large collection of flowers in the market. The floral and souvenir shops are a must visit place for tourists coming to the city. Sightseeing in Amsterdam cannot be completed unless you visit Bloemenmarkt
