DESCRIPTION
Seeking Assynt is an allegory for the Quest to find fulfilment in our lives. The sense of ‘Assynt’ is that of ‘a far off place’. [ Asynt: Old Norse - ‘visible’ ] It is beholden to me to share with you some rewarding glimpses of the many peaceful vistas to be found in this wild terrain, rewards for the weary traveller. The beauty of these vistas in remotest Sutherland and Ross awaits you to unfold with the turning of these pages. The old adage that it is better to travel than to arrive remains true for me. Thankyou for obtaining this Anthology. Enjoy with me the journey towards the chimera that is remote Assynt.
