Formed during eight major eruptive periods between 15,000 and 2000 years ago.

Lava erupted from the Great Rift,

Is now a series of deep cracks that stretch 52 miles.

Shoshone Falls

When it is flowing at full tilt, the Shoshone Falls have been called a clear "10!“

At 212 feet, the falls are higher than Niagara Falls.

They are best viewed during the spring and early summer, when water flows are high.

City of Rocks In 1852, some 52,000 people

passed through the City of Rocks on their way to the California goldfields.

The City of Rocks marked progress west for the emigrants, some writing on stone and remains from these people still stand today.

Lucky Peak

Boating, trails, fishing, volleyball.

Very nice lake great for going out on a hot summers day.
