Welcome you to kielce – my home town!

Kielce is not very big but charming city.

Above all, there are beautiful and one of

the oldest mountains. I would like to prestent you places of interest in

Kielce.

Kadzielnia

According to the legends of Kadzielnia was a place of pagan worship of the

altar used to sacrifice. It is difficult to substantiate this thesis, it is known

only to the fact that even in the sixteenth century, the hill looked after the Kielce collegiate church, which was designed to include "stripping" pagan

power.

Kadzielnia, built of limestone Upper Devonian has a height of 295 m above sea The current excavation (previously

there were quarries) forming a complete groundwater Emerald Lake. Since 1962 there has been a nature

reserve Kadzielnia. Discovered several small caves here.

In 2010, the amphitheater at Kadzielnia was completele rebuilt. A new stage was built along with dressing rooms and technical rooms. Roof has been

fitted: the stage and the movable roof over the audience. These are also

benches for spectators. Currently the amphitheater is for 5.5 thousand

people.

Karczówka

The church is located on the top of Karczówka. Charles Borromeo,

establishedto the monastery of St. Bernard. The founder of the

monastery was bishop of Krakow Marcin Szyszkowski.

Outbuildings were built from the east side , fenced by a wall with towers and gates located in the middle. In 1864 the Bernardine monastery was dissolved by the

tsarist authorities. Since 1957 the monastery Pallottines care of

priests.

Karczówka is located southwest of the city center. Was attached to Kielce in 1930 and includes at least the area of the former

village Czarnów former monastery (known colloquially

Podkarczówka).

Wietrznia

The Zbigniew Rubinowski inanimate nature reserve of

Wietrznia wasestablished in 1999. Pastical protection has been given

to the remains of Wietrznia Hill (312 m above sea level).

Within the reserve there are precious geological exposures:

tectonic phenomena and formsmineralization wire

Ślichowice

The fundamental objective of the reserve is to protect it is

geological resources.

During exploitation works hearily folded rock layers home been

exposes.

Telegraf

Telegraph ski slope is on the northern slope of the highest hill in the administrative borders of

the Kielce city (406 m). It is extremely attractive because of its proximity to the city center.

With the new line the lift capacity will increase to 2400 people/ hour (from the

current 1,000 people/ hour). In the winter season the slope is artificially

snowed , groomed and well lit.
