The capital is Boise. It’s the metropolitan area and the largest city.

Climate in Idaho can be hot, although extended periods over 38 °C for the maximum temperature are rare. Hot

summer days are tempered by the low relative humidity and cooler evenings during summer months since, for

most of the state, the highest diurnal difference in temperature is often in the summer. Winters can be cold, although extended periods of bitter cold weather below

zero are unusual.

The ambiguous religious affiliations of Idahoans are:

Protestant – 29.3%

LDS (Mormon) – 22.8%

Catholic – 14.3%

Non-Denominational Christian – 13.6%

None – 12.7%

Other – 7.2%

The city of Coeur d'Alene has grown significantly in recent years due in part

to a substantial increase in tourism, encouraged by several resorts in the

area.

The Silver Valley is a region of the

Coeur d'Alene Mountains in

northern Idaho noted for its

mining heritage, dating back to

the 1880s.

The Snake River is a major tributary of the Columbia River in the U.S. states of

Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve is a national monument and

national preserve located in the Snake River Plain in central Idaho, near the small

town of Arco.

Steve Canyon

Visited this "statue" it isn't worth the

time. The picture is extremely deceiving.

The statue is actually about four

feet tall and next to a rather uninspiring building. The town

it's in is actually quite nice.

Hagerman Fossil Beds

Hagerman, Idaho, contains

the largest concentration of

Hagerman Horse fossils in North America.
