•Refugee crisis - people leave their homes to escape hunger•Dadaab (Kenya) - world's largest refugee camp•Intended for 90,000 people, but now more than 380,000 there (UN)

•Canadian Foodgrains Bank is responding to the crisis.•Founded in 1983, CFB is a partnership of 15 churches and church agencies who are working together to end global hunger•Their vision is a world where everyone has enough to eat.•100% of our fall special offering will go to them.

“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…” Matthew 25:35

What can we do?

They have a two-pronged approach to addressing hunger issues:

Some of the money will go to emergency food aid.

The aid includes maize, beans, oil, and Famix (a supplementary food for children under five and pregnant women).

Some of the money will go to projects designed to help people address longer term problems by producing food forthemselves.

Examples: Water Pan Project and Food-for-Work Sand Dam Project in Kenya
