Budapest

Hungary is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is situated in the Carpathian

Basin and is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine and Romania to the

east, Serbia and Croatia to the south, Slovenia to the southwest

and Austria to the west.

Hungarian Parliament

The capital and the largest city is Budapest.

Esztergom

Esztergom Basilica, the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary.

Eger

Eger is the second largest city in Northern Hungary, east of the Mátra Mountains. Eger

is well-known and famous for its castle, historic buildings (Turkish minaret), and its

red or white wines.

Balaton

Lake Balaton is a freshwater lake in the Transdanubian region of Hungary. It is the

largest lake in Central Europe.

Tihany

Tihany is a village on the northern shore of Lake Balaton on the Tihany Peninsula.

Fertőd

Fertőd is located in Eszterháza, which is one of the best known palaces in Hungary, it was built

in 1760s by Prince Nikolaus Esterhazy.

Hortobágy

Hortobágy is both the name of a village in Hajdú-Bihar county and an 800 km² national park in

Eastern Hungary.

Pécs

Pécs is the fifth largest city of Hungary, located on the slopes of Mecsek mountains in the

south-west of the country.

Kecskemét

Kecskemét lies halfway between the capital Budapest and the country's third largest city,

Szeged.

Hollókő

Hollókő is a Palóc ethnographic village in Hungary, part of the World Heritage. Its name means

"Raven-stone" in Hungarian.

Puskás Ferenc

Ferenc Puskás ( 1 April 1927– 17 November 2006)

was a Hungarian footballer. He scored 84 goals in 85 international matches for Hungary, and 514

goals in 529 matches in the Hungarian and Spanish leagues.
