In “You Are What You Tweet,” students will learn how to create a positive identify through social media. We’ll quickly review some don’t-dos but focus on the dos: ways that students can show the world (but in particular, professors, colleagues/classmates and potential employers) their best. By the end of the presentation, students should be able to: - recognize that social media posts are perceived differently by different people - understand the importance of limiting private information - be able to name 3 ways to use social media tools to cultivate a positive identity online
