Introducing the work of theWorldview Impact Foundation

• To promote and support the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.

• To provide capacity building and training for young people in the developing countries for employment generation.

• To generate awareness and support initiatives that addresses the public health implications of global climate change.

• To create awareness and provide support to initiatives that addresses the nexus of poverty and environment.

• To provide a forum for young social entrepreneurs in the developing world to connect with their peers in the developed world.

Mission

• Worldview Impact Foundation was incorporated in England and Wales on 19th June 2008 as a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Acts (Reg no. 6624593).

• The foundation currently has five directors who meet once a year and they are legally responsible for the management of the organisation and its projects globally.

• The foundation has an accountant from Stocker Accounting who sends the latest financial statements for each financial year to Companies House and HMRC.

• The foundation is now applying for charity status from the Charity Commission and seeks the pro bono legal assistant of Baker & Mckenzie in London to complete that process.

Legal Structure

Current Directors

Dr. Aiban Lyngdoh is a medical doctor with a professional background in health administration, monitoring and evaluation. He has a master degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a European master degree in international health. He worked with The Leprosy Mission Trust India, New Delhi as Medical Officer -Evaluation and has undertaken relevant work experience at different levels of the health sector in India.

Arne Fjortoft is a Norwegian citizen with a strong international commitment. He has broad communication and journalist experience, including print media, radio and television, and the newest digital communication technologies. Mr. Fjortoft served as the Chairman of the Liberal Party of Norway for four years. During his leadership, the party widened its political agenda with a global commitment to sustainable development.

Dr. Bremley Lyngdoh started his journey in Sustainable Development back in 1992 at the Rio Earth Summit. That experience left him convinced that working towards helping people build a better life through social, environmental and economic development was what he wanted to do. He joined the Consortium of Indian Scientists for Sustainable Development in 1993 and worked on a project to combat desertification and regenerate the desert ecosystem in Rajasthan, India.

Current Directors

Dr. Pamela J. Puntenney is Founder and CEO of Environmental & Human Systems Management a private sector consulting firm that seeks to facilitate and support the further implementation of sustainability strategies through: learning processes; research and influencing policy; provision and distribution of key information; and training and capacity building. She currently serves as the lead Co-Chair of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development Education Caucus.

Kelly Shant is Co-director of Arash and Kelly and Karmic Promotional Products with her husband Arash Kaynama. They design, manufacture and distribute their own product range globally with built-in social and environmental impact from arashandkelly.com and Karmic Promo Products Kelly is a graduate of Design Products at the Royal College of Art, she became a Senior lecturer for the University of Brighton University’s Architecture and Design School in 2007.

We invited people in the UK to join us in our fundraising events that helped us raise funds for our tree planting projects combined with our sustainable livelihoods activities for long term poverty reduction in different pilot countries around the developing world.

Actress, singer and song writer Karen David recorded a new version of her song ‘Shillong Shillong’.

She donated it to Worldview Impact Foundation to support the rubber tree planting project in her homeland Meghalaya in North East India.
