• FreeEed VM – this is a popcorn maker• VirtualBox – this is a popcorn holder• eDiscovery data – these are popcorn seeds

How to get components, VirtualBox

• Download page: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

• Double-click and install. Take all default options.

Import FreeEedVM into VirtualBox

• That is, put the popcorn maker in the popcorn holder

• Click on “Import Appliances” and navigate to the FreeEedVM

Start FreeEed

• You will see this. Click on “Start”

Login and start the software

• Login with password ‘easy’• Go to the program folder and start cd freeeed_complete_pack./start_all.sh

Hint: Use TABto autocompletecommands

Open a project and verify the options

Stage the data and process locallyStaging prepares data for processing

Processing locally prepares for review

Popcorn is done! Now eat and reviewOpen output folder – there you will find the metadata and the load file with native/text/pdf

Open review and start consuming your popcorn eDiscovery
