Trialforce Source Org (TSO)

What is the Trialforce Source Org (TSO)?

• The TSO is a Salesforce.com Organization that is used as a template for a trial

• The TSO is where you pre-configure your prospect’s trial experience –  Install and configure your managed package –  Create demo data –  Create custom user profiles for different roles

Creating Trialforce Source Orgs

1.  In your TMO, generate a Trialforce Source Org 2.  Once you have access to your new org, install

your packaged application 3.  Add sample data to your org 4.  Generate a trial template 5.  Create new TSO’s using the steps above if you

want to target specific types of customers or industries

6.  Get your trial template approved

Methods of Distributing Trials

• The Signup API –  A Salesforce object that helps with creating trials, capturing

leads, and tracking your current trials

• Providing Trials through your website (WebForm) –  Direct them to the new form for creating signup request records

• AppExchange –  Used to provide a trail from your AppExchange listing – “Get It

Now” Button

Submitting Trialforce Templates for Review • AppExchange Method

–  Submit via AppExchange Publishing Console

• Sign- Up API –  Log a Case via Partner Community (requesting access to

Sign-Up API and template approval)

• WebForm –  Log a Case via Partner Community (requesting access to

the webform and template approval)

Submitting Template for Review - AppExchange Method •  If you want to list your trial on the AppExchange, you have to submit it for review

–  Go to the AppExchange Publishing Console –  Link your TSO to your organization (your Partner Business Org) –  Install application and create Template –  On the Publishing Home page, select the “Your Trial Templates” tab –  Click “Start Review” for each template you want to submit for approval

Submitting Template for Review – Sign Up API & WebForm • Sign Up API

–  Log a Case to request permission in Business Org •  Type: AppExchange & Feature Request •  Subtype: Trialforce •  Description: Source Org ID, Template ID, Request for access in Business Org, and include detail of the request

–  Log a Case – Approve Template for Sign Up API •  Type: AppExchange & Feature Request •  Subtype: Trialforce •  Description: Source Org ID, Template ID, Request for access to the WebForm, and include detail of the request
