TORONTOS ICT CLUSTER…• Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in
Toronto contributes approximately $20 billion to the Canadian economy every year. Manufacturers and developers such as IBM, Oracle Canada, and Nortel, create software, hardware, and communication solutions that assist to both the Canadian and other geographical regions pertaining to ICT. Toronto, with its suppliers, trade associations, government, and educational institutions, is a place where cluster structures are able to collaborate and work together to form innovation.

UPCOMING EVENTS• Tech Week• The Toronto tech week provides opportunities for businesses to display their
talent and abilities to exchange ideas, network, and share technology. This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurial start up businesses to receive funding and collaboration in other areas of expertise. Starts May 28th.
• Networking Event• On June 8th, 2009 a networking event consisting of various technology
companies will be meeting to discuss partnership opportunities with six large American business firms. These firms are seeking solutions for security, border control and IT.
• Technology Tradeshow• This one time event held on May 7th, 2009 consists of small to medium
sized businesses interested in showcasing their technologies such as laptops, education and training electronic, multimedia software, printers, scanners, wireless technologies, and telecommunication products. Manufacturers, PC retailers, software developers, eRetailers, importers and exporters, and distributors are just some of the businesses that will be participating in this tradeshow..
