Options for integrating Skype for Business and Google Calendars
You can start a ad-hoc Skype for Business meeting and copy and paste the meeting invitation details into your Google Calendar invitation
You can set a static meeting ID (talk to your system administrator) and use that meeting ID to schedule your Google Calendar invitation
You can use UnifiedCT’s Unyfy solution to manage both Google Calendars and Microsoft Exchange with the solutions above
Launching your Ad-Hoc Skype for Business Meeting
You can do this from your Skype for Business Client
Getting your Meeting URL & Credentials
You can do this at the bottom right corner of your Skype for Business meeting once it has been launched
You can click Meeting Entry Info to copy your clipboard
Getting your Meeting Entry Info
Once you have clicked the Meeting Entry Info you will have the option to copy the link directly to your clipboard
Static ID vs Regular Meetings IDs
By default most Skype for Business accounts are set to have rotating Meeting ID’s
Therefore your meeting ID will change every time you launch ad-hoc meeting
If you set Skype for Business to have a Static Meeting ID you can simply paste this ID into your Google Calendar invitations and it will never change
Integrating Microsoft Exchange and Google Calendars
You can set Google Calendars to import your Microsoft Exchange calendar information
This is ideal if you have a Office 365 account and you use Google Calendars
You CANNOT import google calendar meeting items into Exchange (As of July 2015)
Using UnifiedCT Unyfy to integration Exchange and Google Calendars
UnifiedCT’s Unyfy actually integrates Skype for Business with Microsoft Exchange and Google Calendars. This is what it looks like.
Toggle between Exchange and Google Calendars
This allows the room your in to display either a Google Calendar or a Exchange calendar for use with resource booking
You can also add your own personal calendar which will show up as a additional tab next to Exchange and Google
