Bad Cards and Error Messages

Press Start Sale

Customer is prompted to insert card

If the card reader cannot read the card, CARD PROBLEM RETURN TO CLINIC is displayed

Press Clear Key to continue

*** NOTE ***The customer needs to go back to the WIC Clinic to find out why the

card is being rejected

Customer is prompted to remove their card

Press Clear to continue

Sale is logged to the Electronic Journal with the reason why the card had a

problem

Press Cash Out to finalize

The Customer had 2 Gallons of 2% Milk on their WIC EBT Card and tried to purchase a third gallon

Message that the third item Exceeds the Quantity Allowed is displayed

Press Clear to continue to sell other items

The customer tries to purchase something that is not prescribed on

their WIC EBT card.

This error occurs most when the customer is trying to

purchase the wrong formula

Press Clear to continue to sell other items.

The item that is being sold is NOT a valid item in the state’s

Authorized Products ListPress Clear to

continue selling other items

This message is displayed if the customers card is read after the entry

of a valid PIN and there are No Benefits Left for the current period

Press Clear and the customer will be prompted

to remove their card
