findings

• Yes, ISO standards are in line with TQM

• Productivity has improved

suggestions

• The lowest individual score was given to question no. 14.-“All employees are trained in statistical improvement techniques (e.g. #SPC)”. So it means such training is not being imparted properly and it is an area of concern.

• The lowest group score was given to ‘training and development’.So BSL has to focus more in giving training on the quality aspects.

suggestions

• Production and despatch figures of HR Coil and CR Coil shows improvement but it is not so for the other products. So focus should be on these products.

limitations

• Due to time constraints I could visit only the main departments and only a few auxiliary departments.

• Market factors also affects the production and despatch but it was not considered in the study.

THANK YOU!
